ESSENTIAL OIL MANUFACTURING PROTOTYPE UNIT

Navin Process Systems offer a prototype unit for manufacture of essential oils from natural sources such as eucalyptus, lemon, orange, peppermint, rose, sandalwood, citronella, lemongrass, etc.

The unit is portable & can be transported to various sites easily in a medium-sized utility vehicle, & can therefore be used to demonstrate the quality of oil produced right at the source of the raw material or to prospective buyers at their site/office. The unit can also be used to evaluate the quality of various grades of raw material available.

The oil is obtained by steam distillation of the raw material. The unit is supplied complete with a steam generator, which works on 230 Volts single phase power supply. It is designed to work using ordinary water for condensing the oil vapours.

About 6 kg of citronella grass can be charged, & around 200 grams of good quality citronella oil collected, in one batch of around 2-3 hours duration.

Some of the many potential uses of the unit are (i) as a demonstration model for agricultural research laboratories, agricultural colleges & Krishi Vigyan Kendras; (ii) for collection of small quantities of oil for quality control or product demonstration; & (iii) for commercial manufacture of high-value low-volume products such as peppermint oil & sandalwood oil.
